I suppose a website overhaul is like moving house. You get to know the various pages, links and images featured on your company website because you’ve lived with them for years; and then suddenly you’re faced with what to keep and what to leave out, when confronted with the prospect of a new website.
I liked ours: it was homespun and a first effort; it was provided to us as a new business startup by and it was free.
I learned a fair bit about , analytics and boosting an online presence. I also learned that though crucial, is not as easy as simply putting text up there.
But one still has to do so gradually the site started to look a little forlorn and in great need of an update. A few months ago, we undertook the rather daunting task of updating, or rather, redoing our website with the help of a web designer, brian Johnson of . Yesterday it went live, using applications, which have been a pleasant discovery to me, as they are quite accessible.
